It all started when……

Victoria and Ed met during a tomato soup fight, it was very messy and there was lots of cleaning up to do afterwards but it was a lot of fun! Good vibes led to lots of creativity and lots of hard work in the creative industries, so here’s more about the serious stuff!

Ed Brown Photography is founded and co-owned by a Multi-Award Winning professional team, established with over 30 years of combined experience in the photography industry.

At the heart of Ed Brown Photography are the co-owners, Victoria the creative business manager and Ed the imaginative, alternative and documentary wedding photographer a passionate and creative team working together full-time in business for over 12 years.

Ed Brown Photography specialises in creative, reportage, natural, edgy, documentary and alternative wedding photography covering The whole UK and awesome documentary destination weddings too.

Victoria is the business manager and responsible for the look, vibe and soul of our happy alternative and documentary wedding photography business based in the heart of the Midlands.

From the moment you get in touch, Victoria is on hand to provide the warmest, friendly and efficient service possible, which will help your wedding journey run as smoothly as it can.

Ed is the edgy and documentary wedding photographer, editing wizard and the delightful tea/coffee maker extraordinaire. If you visit our happy studio or have a FaceTime/Skype call

Both Victoria and Ed have worked with celebrities, actors and sporting stars, we love most of all to work with lovely people who are young at heart, and everyone gets the best experience we can give.

So you might say why to call your business brand Ed Brown Photography when you are business partners, equals, well Victoria has an unusual last name which we tried combining as a business name but to be honest, nobody could remember it.

Victoria said "let's just call it Ed Brown Photography", it’s easy to remember and we have different roles now, so we did!

Victoria and Ed's primary aim is to provide wedding couples with beautiful and emotive images that they love with an awesome customer experience and journey that is truly one of a kind.

We put our wedding couples front and centre, it is not about us, it is all about getting to know our wedding couples, their amazing ideas and exciting plans, and capturing a truly beautiful set of images that honestly capture the spirit and joy of their wedding celebrations.

At Ed Brown Photography we are passionate about photographing & documenting couples unique wedding celebrations which have unique and individual ideas and plans.

Throughout our business life, we have always had a strong ethos of equality, diversity and inclusivity in our company towards all the lovely couples that enquire/ book with us and other businesses too.

Victoria is the manager, the driving force, the ambitious mind, the creative visualizer and innovator behind the Ed Brown Photography brand.

Victoria loves working on happy sunshine marketing strategies, product development working on branding, product purchasing, new company goals and targets.

Victoria works exceptionally hard, takes inspiration from lots of different creative industries is extremely forward-thinking and makes sure our individual brand is a little different and off beat.

Victoria has worked extremely hard gaining a BA Honours degree in the arts and has qualified in special effects makeup, she loves creativity, art and design. Victoria has herself had many large abstract paintings and original fine art prints commissioned & purchased by PLC’s throughout the UK and she is also an exhibited artist.

Victoria initially started working full-time in the photography industry over 16 years ago after returning from travelling around Europe and qualified as a master photographer specialising in photography of women within portrait studios and on a freelance basis.

She has vast experience in sales, also attaining a position as a photography portrait sales trainer. Victoria also has experience in marketing & promotions work and this work has taken her all over the UK.

Victoria is fearlessly hardworking and has now evolved from a creative to a creative business person driving the business forward with lots and lots and lots of positivity.

Victoria’s main aim is to always ensure that our company evolves to always put our wonderful clients happy and special wedding journeys and celebrations first.

Our aim is to make your customer journey as easy and organised as possible until your super amazing wedding day.

Victoria's role is now purely office based and no longer takes photographs that is purely the super skilled Ed’s domain, she now happily manages our warm and friendly business.

Even though Victoria has been in the photography industry full-time for well over 16 years, she is very humble.

Ed has Victoria to thank for his love of photography. While she was working on a professional feature film as a makeup artist supervisor, Ed took the opportunity to take some photographs, and was hooked.

After that, Ed went to work as a photographer's assistant at a multi-award winning celebrity photography studio, which gave him some incredible experience of working in a world-class photographic studio.

There’s nothing better than learning from the best!

Ed has since gone on to qualify as a Master Photographer himself.

Ed is an easy going, vibrant and friendly guy with a zest for life who loves what he does and it shows in the images he takes.

Ed also has experience working in a high volume family portrait studio where typically 180+ sessions a week were captured, learning to think quickly, work efficiently and deliver under a high pressure situation has been the worlds best training as even the busiest of weddings could never come close.

Ed has also managed a photographic studio and was able to use his knowledge to train other photographers which became very useful for when Ed and Victoria started to offer second shooters. Ed was able to help develop their skillsets and help them to improve their wedding photography working methods as well as learning new techniques Ed had learned from working for a world famous celebrity and studio portrait photographer.

So although Ed chooses to use natural light as often as possible he is just as at home with being able to light any shot very beautifully and quickly. Having learned to be required to shoot in camera for print is something that Ed still strives to do at every shoot.

Having worked within the photography industry for many years full-time, from shooting within and managing portrait studios, shooting and selling at hundreds of events and now shooting unique, wonderful and documentary wedding photography, Ed has gained an immense amount of technical experience.

Ed however understands that providing a fantastic customer journey and experience and an amazing service on a couples wedding day which is empathatic and mindful to each and every couple and their individual wedding celebrations is just as important as his technical skillset.
