In the heart of Birmingham’s most awesome area of Digbeth, lies the former Victorian factory, The Bond, undeniably the most fitting wedding venue for the fun-loving couple Michelle and Gavin who described themselves as big kids at heart, with personality that glistened abundantly throughout their boho, industrial chic, alternative, super fun and happy wedding.
With a lovely cobbled entrance and beautiful water views sitting on the Grand Union Canal, this quirky venue was ideal for this individualistic, alternative and unique wedding. Everything about this glorious day was filled with aspects that emulated the couple from the décor to the cake saluting their favourite films, TV shows and music, including a cardboard cut out of Dave Grohl! It was entrancing to capture such a characterful wedding party, filled with winsome craziness and endless laughter. Michelle and Gavin wanted to elicit childlike vibes, with outdoor garden games, and the silliness that represented their union. The attention to detail that added such special touches to this wedding was otherworldly. It was incredible to see every endearing ingredient, including the Photo Booth from Taxi Snaps and the sublime catering from the Bond company.
We couldn’t ask for more vibrant scenery to photograph, with all the energetic and edgy street art that epitomizes Digbeth, alongside the glowing and exuberant couple made for many dynamic and striking images. The surrounding architecture and urban environment created the ideal city chic wedding, with a contemporary, fresh atmosphere. The buildings amalgamating with the wholehearted, childlike vibe of Michelle and Gavin’s wedding created the perfect combination. To encapsulate those happy memories, with a beaming smiley bride, and many outgoing, joyous guests was truly a pleasure.
A day filled with incalculable love, entertainment and spirit.
We wish them both a world of happiness :)
