Beautiful Exton Church Rutland and Barnsdale Lodge Oakham Wedding Photography
Chloe and Carlos held their intimate, exclusive, joyful and soulful Micro wedding in the glorious and breathtaking county of Rutland. It was simply stunning, elegant, stylish and a wonderful day filled with excitement, love and laughter.
Chloe and Carlos original wedding plans were to have a much larger celebration but COVID-19 had other plans, so we happily helped correspond with Chloe and Carlos so they could achieve everything they wanted from their perfect and special Rutland country wedding, it was an amazing day!
Carlos family live in Peru which made travelling impossible unfortunately so only the permitted 15 people were allowed to attend however it was a still a very beautiful and emotive celebration.
Chloe and Carlos friends and family live all over the world so they made special plans to organise the wedding to be streamed live over the internet which gave everyone chance to be a part of the excitement of the wedding day from their homes and share the joy and happiness of the day.
When Ed arrived at the Barnsdale Lodge log cabins for bridal preparation photography he was warmly greeted by the family, the hair and makeup was in full flow and laughter and excitement filled the room. As the wonderful energy continued the good weather took a little turn for a down pour of epic proportions. However just as Chloe was due to leave for Exton Church the glorious sunshine came out as if it was ordered in especially, the timing could not have been any better.
As Chloe arrived in her Jesus Peiro wedding dress at the picturesque Exton Church she was met by her grandfather who was to marry Chloe and Carlos, this made the ceremony so much more personal, magical and special as you could feel the love and energy in the church.
After the ceremony Chloe and Carlos travelled back to the stylish country wedding venue Barnsdale lodge for a most beautiful meal and heartfelt speeches, they were so genuine and sincere and full of emotions there was not a dry eye in the building. During the drinks and food there was a live pianist playing which was a perfect vibe which added to the amazing atmosphere.
Chloes mum who had also been the wedding planner had arranged some AMAZINGLY epic fireworks as a surprise and a surprise it certainly was. The awesome fireworks were on the level of many large scale bonfire night productions so this was a spectacle to behold.
At the gorgeous Barnsdale Lodge Oakham, everyone enjoyed the evening celebrations, the wonderful party vibe and the dancing but the 10pm legal curfew was soon upon us, I think the party could have gone on all night if COVID-19 restrictions were not in place for everyones safety.
Thank you so much Chloe and Carlos for making us feel so welcome, almost like family, we wish you a lifetime of cosmic happiness and we cannot wait to see you all again!
It was a total joy to document such an intimate, joyful and emotive small exclusive church and country wedding which are also now being phrased as Micro Weddings, giving all the most special guests time to spend with each other and the couple. The wedding day was absolutely perfect!

Ed and Victoria’s organisation and upbeat attitude were simply wonderful in the lead up to our wedding. With numerous (seriously, DOZENS) of changes to our arrangements due to Covid, Ed and Victoria were supportive, calm and even helped us to understand how our day could work even more seamlessly and how we could optimize our wedding based on their experience… not only the most amazing photographer, but a mini built in wedding planner too!
On the day, Ed turned up early and quietly situated himself in amongst my family, getting more beautiful shots that we could ever have wished for. Throughout the day, Ed mingled and became one of the family very quickly. He laughed and cried with us, all while taking unreal shots of our perfect day.
Our digital photographs came through in record time and perfectly edited. It took an age for us to choose favourites to print, because they honestly were all so perfect.
In short, Ed and Victoria went above and beyond at every step of our wedding journey and using them was the best choice we made. We loved their advice in the run up, Ed’s presence on the day, and the final results – you guys are simply the best, and we can’t wait to see you at every single one of our family events in the future!!
